This Mars Bar Slow Cooker/Crockpot fudge take a little time but is really easy to make and is not only delicious, it also makes a great gift for friends.  Have a look at my Mars Bar Crockpot Fudge recipe.

Break up the bars of regular chocolate and slice up the Mars bars to make them easier to melt. Place all the broken chocolate, the butter and the tin of condensed milk in the crockpot/slow cooker.

Leave the lid off and stir with a metal spoon (rather than wooden spoon). Leaving the lid off stops condensation from forming in the crockpot, as the water dripping back in isn’t good for the fudge. Also, make sure you put the crockpot on low!

Mars Bar Chocolate Slow Cooker Fudge

Stir the fudge every fifteen minutes. I cooked mine for about an hour and a half, and just stirred it periodically as I was doing other kitchen chores.

I added Smarties in neat lines. You could also use M&M’s to decorate, or anything you fancied really! Then pop the dish in the fridge for about an hour until it is set. Once set, remove the fudge from the dish and carefully peel away the grease-proof paper.

I put a large knife in a jug of hot water to heat it up. I had a tea-towel handy and dried the knife in between cuts. Because the knife was hot it cut the fudge easier and made a neater job. I cut in between my rows of Smarties so that I ended up with one of the Smarties per cube of fudge.

You don’t need the Smarties/M&M’s but it does make the fudge look jolly!

Easy and delicious crockpot/slowcooker Mars Bar Chocolate Fudge!

  • 400 grams/14oz of chocolate

  • Packet of Smarties of M&Ms
